Symbion was the only US energy company to participate in Nigeria’s 2013 privatization of  the Government’s power assets. In partnership with Transcorp Energy and other investors, Symbion joined in a competitive bidding process to acquire the 972MW natural gas-fired Ughelli Power Plant which required major rehabilitation.  The concession for Ughelli is 20 years.
