Training

Training Overview

At Symbion, we know that utilizing the skills of local people is critical to our success. We run ongoing training courses at manufacturing facilities and at our own project sites, where specific skills are developed on equipment that would normally require factory engineers to visit from abroad. Symbion uses very few expatriates. We focus our management on developing local skills and local capacity.

Symbion's commitment to 'in-country' expertise enables us to respond quickly to complex engineering issues, and to retain the 'in-country' expertise and the local capacity that is needed for self-sustainability of our projects.

Empowering Locals.

In each country where Symbion works, a Symbion Power Center training school has been established to help develop a skilled local workforce capable of constructing and installing electrical power infrastructure.

Symbion identifies locals to become trainees at the Symbion Power Center. This program provides a secure and enriching environment that teaches basic power system work skills education, and also encourages longer-term, more sophisticated training and development as the power system grows in the country.
