Northwest Lineman College
Founded in 1993, Northwest Lineman College (NLC) was built on the concept of delivering the benchmark standard of training and contributing to improvements in the industry. With campuses in California, Texas and Idaho, NLC provides power delivery training to over 2,000 line workers annually in the US and abroad. The school develops customized academic and field training solutions and delivers instruction that results in a highly skilled and motivated workforce.
As it did for the Symbion Power Center in Kabul, NLC created a unique curriculum for the Symbion/Pike Power Center in Tanzania to address the specific skills that are necessary to construct, maintain, and operate the new power delivery system in the region.

CCA believes that Africa's future success depends on the ability of its entrepreneurs and business people to create and retain wealth through private enterprise.
Symbion Power and CCA have developed SAMBAZA UMEME SI UKIMWI (Swahili for "Transmit Electricity, Not AIDS") or "SUSU" for short, an innovative and flexible approach for workplace and community-based HIV prevention.
