Through Symbion and our partner firms, we have operational facilities across the globe to support our projects.
Energizing Tanzania.
Symbion's management has extensive past experience in Tanzania. Our operations there include two distribution projects and one for the design and build of substations. The distribution projects extend over 1700km of woodpile lines and the new construction and extensions of 24 substations across the country in eight geographic locations.
Additionally, Symbion owns and operates a 120MW power plant outside Dar Es Salaam that is slated for expansion in 2011 by an additional 205MW.
Rebuilding Iraq.
Our extensive operations in Iraq, which began in 2005 and completed in 2010, included nine projects that covered hundreds of kilometers of transmission lines, both 400kV and 132kV, as well as eleven 132kV AIS and GIS substations across the country.
Modernizing Afghanistan.
Our work in Afghanistan included a comprehensive, countrywide aerial survey, as well as a switchyard and a 100MW power plant just outside Kabul. Comprised of three separate power block units, the power plant comprised an 110kV substation and switchyard with two transmission line feeders that interconnect the plant with the line.
